Community Cares Day – August 22nd – Thank you to all who came and battled blackberries (and have the war wounds to show for it), pulled weeds, trimmed trees and bushes to clear paths, stairs and walkways, and planted a few spots of color to brighten the front of the school. It is a big campus, but we got a lot done! Many hands make light work.

Jackson Middle School in Portland, OR is proud to be a Leonard Bernstein School of Artful Learning since 1998. We believe and can demonstrate the arts are a pathway for complete student engagement, educator empowerment and a compelling model to transform learning. Jackson is home to the longest running Bernstein program in the U.S. and the only school in the Pacific Northwest to use this interdisciplinary program.
