May is an exciting month at Jackson! The RAT race takes place May 8 AND…
Tuesday May 14, 7 pm. We will be celebrating 15 years of the Bernstein Artful Learning Program at our school. This event is free and open to the community and Jackson alumni. We are privileged to have attending Jamie Bernstein and Alexander Bernstein, children of Leonard Bernstein.
Wednesday May 15, 7 pm. Join us for an Artful Evening Fundraiser with an evening of conversation and celebration with guests of honor Alexander Bernstein, Jamie Bernstein, and Patrick Bolek, President & Founder at Momentum ProjectLab and Managing Consultant for Artful Learning. Reservations required – $75 per person (Jackson PTA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization). Wine and Hors d’oeuvres will be served. Business or Artful attire suggested. The Artful Evening is hosted in a private home in SW Portland. For tickets and additional information contact: treasurer@jacksonpta.org. Event is limited to 40 tickets.

If you or your child has attended Jackson in the past fifteen years, you have been part of the Bernstein Artful Learning Program. Please join us to celebrate Jackson and its role in supporting this innovative educational approach. Festivities include a program in the auditorium, teacher-led tours of students’ artwork, and performances by the Jackson Ensemble.
Following the program, students are encouraged to give their parents tours of Bernstein Artful Learning Projects they created.
